It’s all about Civil Registration and Viral Statistics of General Santos City
The Office of the City Civil Registrar of General Santos provides the registration of births, deaths and marriages, issuances of certified true copies and archiving of all registered civil registry documents. The office conducts Information Education Campaign in schools, churches and organizations. The office is mandated to implement all Civil Registry Laws such as, Republic Acts 9048, 9255, 10172, 9858, Legal Instruments, Court Orders and Judicial Decrees.
The LGU General Santos adopted the World Bank’s sustainability principles and named them as the City’s Development Strategies, viz. Bankability, Good Governance, Competitiveness, and Livability. The departments are grouped according to its functions viz-a-viz the development strategies to streamline its diversified services.
LCR is under the Livability Cluster . This involves the continuing improvement of the quality of life of citizens by empowering the people to productivity and progress. This means providing easy access to basic social services including civil registration and licensing closer to the people.
To implement the projects and programs of these clustered departments, the LGU established its core values anchored on the acronym GSCTO for Godliness, Service Excellence, Commitment, Teamwork, and Openness to Change.
