LINIS OPISINA: A CLEAN-UP DRIVE
GENERAL SANTOS CITY, 8th day of July 2022 — The Local Civil Registrar's Office, General Santos City, participated in the Linis Opisina.
The LCR personnel have extended their time and effort to participate in the clean-up drive in the office. It’s an initiative organized by the department itself to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the office’s surroundings. Everyone is also encouraged to donate plants that could be added as a decoration.
The office is continually advocating the philosophy of the 5S. The name 5S is an abbreviation for five Japanese words: Seiri (sort), Seiton (set in order), Seiso (shine), Seiketsu (standardize), and Shitsuke (sustain). This method is a systematic way of achieving complete organization, cleanliness, and standardization in the workplace. Its benefits are improved productivity, quality, health, and safety. Through the 5S methodology, management can create an environment where quality work is comfortable, clean, and safe in the organization. It can ensure compliance with standards and further foster continuous improvement.
