LCR-GSC FINALIZES ITS NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (JULY  1, 2021) – The Office of the Local Civil Registrar, this city, installs its own network infrastructure to centralize its transactions, especially the development of electronic archiving systems of records from 1910 to the present. The server may also house the PhilCRIS or the Philippine Civil Registry Information System developed by NSO, now Philippine Statistics Authority.

LCR-GSC boasts its server with  Intel Xeon 2.2 Ghz 10-CoreProcessor, with 9 TB harddrive on RAID, 64 GB memory, and running on Windows Server 2019. The 24-port hub distributes connection to Rooms 1 to 6. Server-based PhilCRIS users at Room 1 for the preparation and Room 5 for the transmittal will be given priority. This means that PhilCRIS can be accessed anywhere within the office with everybody as all staff will be given a username and password to access the centralized system. Additional network paraphernalias are still in the final bidding process. Once delivered, another 24-port hub  can expand the current network setup of LCR-GSC.
