MAYOR DECLARES NEW GCQ ORDER

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (MAY 24, 2021) – City Mayor Ronnel C. Rivera ordered a new round of General Community Quarantine effective May 25, 2021 until June 30, 2021 due to the increasing number of daily attack rates of COVID-19 among the residents of the city and the surrounding localities. According to the Philippine News Agency (PIA), “Shopping malls and other “non-essential” establishments here will temporarily cease to operate starting Tuesday (May 25, 2021) as the city is reverting to the stricter general community quarantine (GCQ) until June 30 due to the “massive community transmission” of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).” Read More.
