GENERAL SANTOS CITY (March 12, 2021) – The information, education, and communication campaign (IEC) of the Local Civil Registrar’s Office (LCRO) and Kasalan Orientation kick-off for the residents of Purlok 19, Brgy. Lagao, this city on March 12, 2021. The key objectives of the information, education, and communication campaign (IEC) interventions and the orientation are to let the stakeholders understand the legal purpose and benefits of having a civil registration and to ensure that all data provided during registration are complete and correct. These IEC/orientation activities are in line with the mandate of the office to provide civil registration to all. According to the The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in terms of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS), countries in Asia and the Pacific must get every one in the picture. In response to this, the LCR-GSC version is to “GET EVERY GENERAL IN THE PICTURE BY 2025”
