AGENCIES, BUSINESSES, ACADEME TO BENEFIT FROM CENSUS DATA

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (July 21, 2020) – Government executives, policy-makers, planners, research and academic institutions can benefit from the data collected from the 2020 Census of Population and Housing.

There are 100,000 enumerators to be deployed nation-wide to conduct the house to house visit starting on September 1 to 30, 2020. They will be asking the size and geographical distribution of the population. Its composition includes the following:

-sex
-age
-marital status
-education and literacy
-birth registration
-religious affiliation
-ethnicity
-functional difficulty
-occupation of household members age 15 years old and above
-fertility indicators
-housing in terms of type of  building
-number of floors,
-construction materials of the roof
-outer walls,
-state of repair, and
– floor area.
garbage disposal
type of toilet facility
fuel for lighting and cooking
source of water supply for drinking and cooking
ICT devices
internet access
vehicles in working condition

The data generated will be of great help to our country. Thus all citizens are enjoined to  cooperate and provide truthful answers to the questions.
